Books

Books, books, books! All we do at my house is read books. My children cheer when we pull in to the Barnes and Noble parking lot and there is nothing wrong with that! As we get books, if we like them, I will add them to my list of favorite books.

#1 Pete the Cat by James Dean

Pete the Cat is awesome. That's all I really need to say. It's a series of books and they are short, simple, cheap and the kids love them! They are also good for kids learning to read. Pete the cat rocks!

Check out the book: http://www.amazon.com/Pete-Cat-Cool-School First/dp/0062110756

#2 Any book written by Mo Willems

Mo Willems' books consists of cleverly written dialog between characters. There are "Elephant and Piggie" books and "Pigeon" books. They are very unique and I haven't seen another book series like this one. My kids beg to read these books and they laugh the entire time!

#3 Llama Llama Red Pajama by Anna Dewdney

Llama Llama Red Pajama is a fun book for all kids! It has nice rhyming and lots of llama drama. It has a nice message at the end reassuring your children that mamma will always return! Also, check out all the other Llama Llama books too!

#4 Everyone Poops by Taro Gomi

I didn't want to add this to the list because, well.... It's about poop. But seriously, my 2 year old loves this book. We read it at least once a day. It's very informative and it gets my son interested in going poop and using the bathroom! Last night's read was more interesting than other reads. There are some questions in the book, for example "What does whale poop look like?" or "Which end is the snakes behind?" My boys seriously wanted to know the answers to these questions. So we looked up videos on Youtube (because I honestly didn't know) and now we know what whale poop looks like and how snakes poop! Everyone learns when it comes to this book.

If you are curious about the answers to the questions you can check out the informative videos we watched last night! Just a warning, it's kinda gross!
